¿Quienes somos?

Hayley GyereHayley Gyere is the founder of Victoria Selection & Search and runs the Madrid office. Her background in recruitment stems from an early exposure to her family's successful London based recruitment firm. She graduated from the University of Bath, began her career at Morgan Stanley and subsequently joined the investment team at Tressis - a boutique finance house based in Madrid. Whilst developing her career, she noticed demand for quality bilingual secretarial selection as well as the need for a more personalised candidate approach. Hayley speaks both Spanish and English and is passionate about providing excellence to both clients and candidates.

We select professional, English and Spanish speaking candidates for a wide range of companies. These candidates not only meet the demands of the required role but also fit perfectly with the business culture.

Our clients are spread over a wide range of leading sectors including Banking and Finance, Legal, Consulting and Energy in both the UK and Spain. 

Our consultants have over 30 years combined experience in the Recruitment industry as well as previous experience in the Banking sector.

Hayley GyereHayley Gyere es la socia fundadora de Victoria Selection & Search y encargada de la oficina de Madrid. Su conocimiento del sector proviene de su experiencia adquirida en la compañía familiar, con sede en Londres. Hayley es licenciada en Administración y Dirección de Empresas por la Universidad de Bath, comenzó su carrera en Morgan Stanley y posteriormente trabajó en el departamento de inversiones de Tressis.  Mientras desarrollaba su carrera laboral, Hayley supo reconocer una creciente demanda no sólo de cara a un reclutamiento bilingüe y de alta calidad, sino también a un tratamiento más personalizado hacia los candidatos durante el proceso de selección. Hayley habla inglés y castellano y se dedica a aportar excelencia tanto para sus clientes como para sus candidatos.

Bilingual Executive Assistant, Executive Search, Madrid

Our client, a well-renowned and international Executive Search firm is currently looking for Executive Assistant to support a senior Partner. 

Among others, primary duties will include: complex agenda & travel management with careful consideration of different global time zones for both clients and candidates, scheduling candidate/client interviews and travel, managing and following up processes, preparing candidate reports, assisting with client presentations and pitches, active business development and client/candidate relationship management, managing a CRM system, international conference call set up involving communication with international clients.

Ideally, candidates should have at least 4 years’ experience working as an EA in either financial services, banking or executive search, hold a University Degree, have an advanced knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications and understand the importance of relationship management.

Successful candidates will be entirely bilingual or have an exceptionally high level of both English and Spanish. Candidates must work well in challenging, deadline driven environments with incredibly strong interpersonal and communication skills when dealing with clients and candidates alike.

Salary – Competitive + Discretionary bonus + Health insurance

Bilingual Junior Secretary/Team Assistant, Madrid, Azca

Our client, a growing legal firm are looking for a bright bilingual Secretary/Team Assistant to assist a busy, close knit team.

Among others, tasks will include: Managing the busy agenda and scheduling appointments for the team, telephone reception and call filtering in English & Spanish, managing and responding quickly to client queries (in English), welcoming visitors,  managing incoming and outgoing accounts (bank reconciliation) using Excel, resolving office incidents, complete legal documentation, preparing documentation  and completing forms for clients, electronic and physical archiving of documents and ad hoc administrative support.

Candidates must be entirely bilingual in English/Spanish, be numerate and have a solid level of Excel. They must be well presented and have a friendly disposition as they will be the “face” of this firm. This is a dynamic position where candidates must work quickly and effectively.

The ideal candidate will be confident, very responsive and must learn quickly.

Bilingual Paralegal/Administrative, Madrid - Castellana

Our client, the Madrid subsidiary of one of Europe’s best-regarded intellectual property specialists is looking for a reliable bilingual Paralegal/Administrative to join their team on a temporary basis.

Responsibilities (among others) include: Assisting with the filing of patent applications, monitoring the application process, reviewing official documentation and communication, preparing formal documents, informing international clients about the status of the process, opening records both electronically and physically, continuous communication with the various European offices, budgeting & preparing invoices, electronic and physical archiving and general administrative support.

Candidates must be entirely bilingual in English/Spanish, dominate the Microsoft Office package, hold a strong University degree and have at least 2 years previous experience in a Paralegal/Administrative role.

The ideal candidate must be able to manage strict deadlines, be meticulous with attention to detail and be able to effectively prioritise a full workload.

Bilingual Office Manager/Personal Assistant, Private Equity, Madrid

Our client, an international Private Equity Firm is looking for an exceptional Office Manager/PA to manage their Madrid Office and assist the hardworking team.

Responsibilities (among others) include: day-to-day management and administration of the office (this ranges from speaking with international clients, coordination with other European offices managing office supplies, rental contracts), performing PA duties for the international partners (complex flights, travel, flights, agenda), assisting the finance and HR department with ad-hoc duties, organising complex financial/legal documentation and ensuring the smooth running of this busy office.

Candidates must be entirely bilingual in English/Spanish (please do not send your CV if you do not fulfil the language requirements), have a high level of numeracy, dominate the Microsoft Office package, hold a strong University degree/Secretarial Studies and have previous experience in a PA/Office Manager role in the banking (ideally buy/sell side M&A) or consulting/legal sectors.

Our client, a prominent British multidisciplinary Law firm are looking for a versatile, bilingual Receptionist who can provide temporary support to a very busy office.

Responsibilities (among others) include:

  • International call filtering and call transfers (English & Spanish)
  • Greeting & attending to visitors (English & Spanish)
  • Preparing office materials & organising meeting rooms

  • Archiving documents

Bilingual Student Intern - Victoria Selection & Search

We are looking for a student intern to join our team in our Madrid office located in the heart of Barrio Salamanca. This is an exciting part - time opportunity. It will be a hands-on position in an English and Spanish speaking office. This position will be from January 2018 onwards. 

Tasks (among many others) will include: 

-        Maintaining and updating a candidate and client database (Excel, Google Drive and specialist recruitment CRM software)

-        CV screening

-        Updating and scheduling meetings 

-        Candidate (interview) calls in English and Spanish, email follow up (Gmail)

-        Research: identifying potential clients and candidates 

-        Assisting with Candidate interviews and write ups

-        Helping to prepare client and candidate bulletins (using Mailchimp)

-        Posting updates and helping to improve Social Media (Hootsuite, Linkedin, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram)

-        Research: Google Analytics & SEO

-        Analysis using Microsoft Excel

The ideal candidate will be a driven individual who is very comfortable communicating in both Spanish and English. They should be willing to learn and confident.
