Hayley GyereHayley Gyere

Hayley is the founder of Victoria Selection & Search whose background in recruitment stems from an early exposure to her family's successful London based recruitment firm. She graduated with a degree in International Management and Spanish from the University of Bath, began her career at Morgan Stanley and subsequently joined the investment team at Tressis - a boutique finance house based in Madrid. Whilst developing her career, she noticed demand for quality bilingual search and selection as well as the need for a personalised candidate approach. Hayley speaks both Spanish and English and is passionate about providing excellence to both clients and candidates.

Victoria joined the Victoria Selection & Search team in 2017. She started as an intern whilst completing her degree in Human Resources and Labour Relations at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos I and subsequently became a full-time consultant. Thanks to her dual nationality, Victoria speaks a native level of both English and Spanish, which she puts to good use daily with both clients and candidates. Victoria takes the lead on our more junior roles whilst also provides unfaltering support during senior recruitment processes. Victoria prides herself on being approachable and is always willing to go the extra mile to surpass expectations of both candidates and clients.

 

We select professional, English and Spanish speaking candidates for a wide range of companies. These candidates not only meet the demands of the required role but also fit perfectly with the business culture.

Hayley es la socia fundadora de Victoria Selection&Search. Su conocimiento del sector proviene de su experiencia adquirida en un negocio familiar, con sede en Londres. Hayley es licenciada en Administración Internacional y Lenguas Modernas por la Universidad de Bath. Comenzó su carrera en Morgan Stanley y posteriormente trabajó en el departamento de inversiones de Tressis. Mientras desarrollaba su carrera laboral, Hayley detectó una creciente demanda deprocesos deselección bilingües de alta calidad y a su vez, la necesidad de un tratamiento más personalizado hacia los candidatos durante un proceso de selección. Victoria se unió al equipo de Victoria Selection&Search a principios de 2017. Empezó como becaria mientras terminaba su grado en Relaciones Laborales y Recursos Humanos en la Universidad Rey Juan Carlos I, convirtiéndose posteriormente en consultora de selección. Gracias a su doble nacionalidad, Victoria habla inglés y español a nivel nativo, poniéndolo en práctica diariamente tanto con clientes como con candidatos. Además de apoyar en la búsqueda de candidatos senior, Victoria se encargará de liderar nuestros procesos más junior.

Current Opportunities

Bilingual Executive Assistant (Part-Time), Entrepreneur, Madrid

Our client, a busy entrepreneur, is currently looking for a trustworthy Executive Assistant who can provide support across various business ventures (on a part time basis).

Responsibilities (among others) will include: assisting the Finance Director of one of the portfolio companies (expense reports, bank reconciliation, invoicing, excel reports), acting as the key contact for portfolio companies, submitting weekly reports, liaising with accounting firm (gestoría) to manage payroll for portfolio firms, ordering bank transfers, documentation and archiving (electronic and physical), organising events (invitations, licenses, follow up, etc.) assisting entrepreneur with travel planning and communicating over time zones whilst overseas (one week per month), monitoring ongoing projects and ensuring that deadlines are met and providing ad hoc support to this entrepreneur and various business ventures.

The ideal candidate will be numerate and a self-starter. They should be able to work independently and be able to take the initiative. It’s important that the individual grasps the various business lines and communicates effectively. Previous experience in a similar, multitasking role is a plus. Bilingual English and Fluent French a plus.

Location – Barrio Salamanca

Salary – Dependent on Experience

Timetable – 09.00 – 14.00h (part time)

Bilingual Executive Assistant, Private Equity, Madrid

Our client, a global Private Equity firm, is currently looking for a motivated, Bilingual Executive Assistant to support various Associates across different business lines (Private Equity, Infrastructure and Real Estate). 

Responsibilities (among others) will include: managing the various Associates’ extensive agenda and travel arrangements (80% of workload) this includes worldwide travel, scheduling meetings across global time zones, management of complicated travel and trips (flights, hotel and coordination) conference calls set up across time zones, development of relationships with EAs of potential investors, current investors and worldwide team of in house EAs. Coordinating with European headquarters, organise materials for meetings (videoconference, iPad setup, data rooms, presentations) and providing ad hoc support as required.

Candidates must have at least 2 years’ experience working as an EA, ideally in the banking (M&A, legal or consulting sector). They must hold a strong University Degree and have an advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office package (PowerPoint, Excel).   

It is essential that candidates are bilingual, as this role is predominately English speaking. Candidates must be proactive, assertive and energetic. They will grow to fully understand the private equity industry.

Bilingual Team Assistant, British Law Firm, Madrid

Our client, a prestigious British multidisciplinary Law firm are looking for a polished bilingual Team Assistant who can provide support to their busy team of Lawyers.

Responsibilities (among others) include:

  • Acting as the “face” of the firm and the first point of contact
  • Organising flights, travel and accommodation for team of Lawyers
  • Call filtering, switchboard and call transfers with European wide clients (English)
  • Greeting & assisting visitors (English & Spanish)
  • Conference call set up for Lawyers
  • Ordering office supplies and dealing with providers
  • Preparing office materials & organising meeting rooms
  • Completing timesheets and compiling expense reports

Bilingual Paralegal, Boutique Law firm, Madrid

Our client, a growing legal firm are looking for a bright bilingual Paralegal to assist a busy, close knit, team.

Responsibilities (among others) include: Providing administrative support to fee earners, drafting and editing applications and cases, monitoring the cases and working to deadlines, proofreading legal documentation, reviewing contracts, formatting documentation, informing international clients about the status of the process, opening records both electronically and physically, preparing invoices, electronic and physical archiving and general administrative support.

Candidates must be entirely bilingual in English/Spanish, dominate the Microsoft Office package, hold a strong University degree and have at least 2 years previous experience in a Paralegal/Administrative role. Bilingual PA & Office Assistant, Consulting firm, Barcelona

Our client, an international specialist consultancy firm is looking for a polished Bilingual (Native English speaking) PA & Office Assistant to provide support in their Barcelona based office. 

Responsibilities (among others) include:

  • Acting as the front face of the company, in the office and through telephone and e-mail
  • PA to President & Managing Director (calendars, appointments, personal & business travel, liaising with domestic suppliers/housekeepers)
  • Organising all company travel
  • Managing all company suppliers
  • Sending couriers
  • Drafting standard operating procedures for internal processes
  • Maintaining all office supplies (kitchen, office equipment, IT, etc.)
  • Managing all admin processes for accounting purposes:
    • Supplier invoices & expenses
    • Staff credit card expenses
    • Petty cash

Bilingual Executive Assistant, Property Management, Barcelona

Our client, a leading investment firm are looking for an Executive Assistant to support the Real Estate Services Management Director & team based in Barcelona.

Responsibilities (among others) will include: Managing the agenda for the Director and team, organising meetings and any necessary travel for the team, acting as the first point of contact and communicating with landlords, tenants and maintenance service provider for any repair issues, dealing with day to day Estate Management queries, providing helpdesk assistance for both Landlords and Tenants, liaising with European Headquarters in English, physical and electronic archiving, documentation management (rental contracts), receiving visitors, organising couriers and acting as the “go to” person for any administrative need the team may have.

Candidates must have an entirely bilingual level of English/Spanish and Italian, a relevant University degree and a professional level of Microsoft Office. It is essential that candidates hold a minimum of 3-5 years’ supporting a senior team. Previous experience in the Real Estate/Property management sector is a plus.

The ideal candidate will extremely organised, comfortable liaising with a wide range of stakeholders/collaborators and able to work independently.

Our client, a boutique investment advisory firm is looking for a bright and proactive Bilingual Junior Office Manager to help manage their Madrid Office.

Responsibilities (among others) include:

  • Complex agenda and inbox management, flights, visas, travel, personalised trips and private errands for family based in 3 countries, restaurant bookings, coordinating meetings across various countries and time zones
